D-Air® system:

D-Air® is a standalone electronic airbag system for road use that only works when integrated into and connected to specially designed and certified Dainese protective clothing.

The system's six sensors, electronics, and GPS are integrated into the Pro-Armor back protector, eliminating the need to install a separate kit on your motorcycle. The D-Air® control unit monitors the sensor signals 1,000 times per second using a sophisticated triggering algorithm. The D-Air® system works in synergy with existing protective devices to protect the following parts of the rider's body:

Neck (limits the tilt of the head in relation to the neck and reduces helmet movement when rolling)

Shoulder

Breast

Back

The airbag is inflated with high pressure, is anatomically shaped and has a volume of 4 liters.

D-Air® detects and activates its revolutionary additional protection in the following accidents:

Frontal and side collisions: Impact on fixed or moving objects.

Highsider: The rider is "catapulted" from the motorcycle after the rear wheel starts to slide and suddenly regains grip.

Lowsider with rollover: The front or rear wheel slips and the rider rolls.

Thanks to its intelligent algorithm, D-Air® detects the severity of a fall and deploys only when necessary in one of the aforementioned accidents. For example, the system will not deploy in falls at speeds below 50 km/h or in falls where the dynamics do not require the additional protection of an airbag.
