Alpinestars Supertech S-M10 Ampress Motocross Helmet M

Description
Alpinestars Supertech S-M10 Ampress 2024 Motocross Helmet The goal of the Alpinestars Supertech helmet family was to create the most advanced, protective, and high-performance helmets for riders worldwide. With the S-M10, Alpinestars' helmet development team engineered the helmet to provide the perfect blend of excellent ventilation and unsurpassed comfort to create the lightest possible helmet without compromising on other areas. The design of the S-M10 offers a smooth, attractive, aerodynamic profile that is streamlined and free of external profiles and features that could act as stress points in an impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet's construction. The surface curvature promotes reduced friction upon impact, allowing for deflection and the most efficient energy transfer to protect the rider's head from direct force to the skull, neck, and spine. Features: The S-M10 shell sizing solution ensures that each helmet size has its own matching shell size to deliver the best anatomical solution for the diverse fit needs worldwide. With 4 different helmet shell sizes S, M, L and XL and 6 consumer sizes from XS to XXL, this ensures that the rider has the right fit, which not only improves comfort and reduces overall weight, but more importantly improves the effectiveness of the helmet in an impact. The helmet shell construction uses state-of-the-art molding technology with a multi-composite combination: 3K carbon, an outer layer of high-density carbon that improves strength and efficiency of energy dissipation across the shell, a unidirectional carbon composite layer that provides significantly greater radial strength around the shell and prevents compression but allows controlled deflection to reduce transferred impact energy, and an aramid fiber layer that provides critical penetration protection. This layer combination is made even more powerful by an epoxy resin compound, which ensures the best possible strength and energy management. The limited deflection of the outer shell means that energy spreads further and is better absorbed by the quadruple density EPS liner. The result of the unique shell construction process used in the construction of the S-M10 is extremely effective impact protection. The S-M10 offers linear and oblique impact performance that exceeds current standard helmet limits. In a direct linear impact, i.e. an impact at a 90-degree angle between the helmet and an object, the S-M10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 standard for 2024 by an average of 46% at normal speed impact speeds. New to the ECE 22.06 standard are the requirements for low- and high-speed linear impacts, where the S-M10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 standards for linear peak accelerations by 23% and 28% respectively. For rotational acceleration and performance in an oblique impact, where the impact energy comes from an angle other than a 90-degree linear or right-angled straight-in impact, the S-M10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 standard for peak rotational acceleration by 76%. The new profile of the revised chin guard, where the lower section is specially shaped to create a relief area that leaves the collarbone free, with a new, softer EPS liner that extends beyond the main helmet shell and is covered by a more flexible rubber compound that reduces the risk of collarbone injury. Removable side pads made of a semi-soft polymer for additional protection provide a larger contact area to distribute impact energy. The patented A-Head Fitment System allows easy adjustment of the angle and height at which the helmet sits on the head. Ultra-ventilated helmet with 28 individual air inlets and outlets, excluding the field of vision, which has 18 air inlets and 10 outlets. MIPS, Multi-directional Impact Protection System (protection system in the event of an angled impact). ERS system for emergency visor removal and a new visor extension for protection from sun and dust. The new Eject technology includes the Eject helmet removal system. Specifications: Lightweight ECE 1260g for size medium, 1310g with side pads and 1370g with visor extension. Double-D closure ECE 22.06
