Alpinestars Supertech R boots

Alpinestars' iconic Supertech R racing boot, worn by numerous champions past and present, has seen a number of advances to enhance its performance characteristics. Updates for 2015 include a redesigned rubber compound sole, an improved ergonomically shaped shin guard, and a redesigned front section, all of which enhance the compelling performance of this certified boot. CONSTRUCTION: Upper constructed from durable, technical microfiber offers the best possible flexibility. The microfiber main structure provides the highest level of water resistance, durability, and improved weight reduction. The fabric ensures a consistent fit over long-term use and is easy to clean. A redesigned front flex area features direct-injected TPU over a breathable mesh textile with embossed relief. A newly developed outer TPU shin guard is ergonomically designed, wrapping around the outer calf and is designed to disperse and dissipate impact energy across the surface while remaining compact. The shin guard features a new micro-adjustable upper lock for a secure and precise fit. A groundbreaking, full-length microfiber medial panel features a new textile pattern, offering exceptional grip and feel while riding, and protecting against abrasion and heat. The featherweight rubber compound sole has been redesigned to provide excellent grip and feel. A new soft TPU stretch panel on the lateral side provides easy closure with an excellent fit. A TPU zipper puller reduces friction in the event of an accident. A hook-and-loop closure strap locks the zipper, keeping it flat and secure. An integrated, replaceable injected TPU/aluminum toe slider features a new quick-release screw system, providing grip and protecting the external toe cap structure from abrasion. Adaptive accordion microfiber in the Achilles heel allows natural movement and support. The upper cuff follows the shape of the leg and is constructed from premium, adaptable synthetic leather with PU reinforcement. A flexible, featherweight toe switch allows for feel when changing gears. In the ventilated version, strategically positioned heel vents and TPU shin guards direct airflow throughout the boot. A separate internal biomechanical ankle brace interacts with the boot's external structure to form a protective system that allows complete freedom of movement of the foot, ankle, and leg. Replaceable polymer heel sliders protect against impact and reduce friction in the event of an accident. The external entry features an expandable accordion insert for a precise fit and easy on and off. The Supertech R boot is certified according to EN 13634:2010. Available in international sizes 39–48.
