Derived from a combination of MX and street motorcycle design, the new SMX waterproof jacket incorporates elements of MX design in terms of the materials, athletic fit, and graphics of the jacket, as well as performance features derived from street riding such as the external DFS-Lite shoulder and waterproof membrane for additional protection in all weather conditions. With a main chassis constructed from 600D poly fabric and stretch softshell for the optimal blend of durability, light weight, and comfort, this jacket features subtly incorporated, premium Nucleon Flex Plus protectors for proven impact protection. The SMX jacket has a fixed waterproof membrane for proven wet weather performance and a removable thermal liner that allows it to be easily adapted to weather conditions for real-world versatility. Features: The jacket features a technical fit that offers the highest level of active upper body protection, is Tech-Air® Ready, and can accommodate the Tech-Air® 5 or Tech-Air® 3 airbag system. Strategically positioned stretch panels are designed to accommodate a Tech-Air® airbag system, allowing expansion upon airbag inflation, providing a high level of anatomical performance and an excellent fit when ridden without the system. Level 1 Nucleon Flex Plus protectors at the shoulders and elbows offer optimal resistance to impact and abrasion while remaining highly flexible for optimal comfort. Textile construction with extensive softshell panels for the optimal blend of fit, comfort, light weight, and freedom of movement. The waterproof SMX jacket is Tech-Air® Ready. An engineered sport body-mapping fit and pre-curved sleeves for optimal riding performance. The chassis is constructed from a blend of poly fabric and 3-layer stretch softshell with 315 grams per square meter and a breathability rating of 15,000, for comfort, durability, and low weight, and features a 2-layer bonded waterproof membrane for proven wet-weather performance. DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment on the outer shell for added wet-weather performance. A removable thermal liner (100g body, 80g sleeve) allows the jacket to be tailored to the climate. DFS Lite shoulders with a dynamic friction shield at the shoulder for improved abrasion resistance. The rear of the jacket is extended for enhanced protection while riding. A shock cord waistband ensures a secure closure. A flat sport collar construction with a soft lining for improved rider comfort. Two zippered front pockets, two chest pockets, a waterproof inner pocket for documents, and two inner pockets on the lining for secure storage of valuables.
