Featuring a durable microfiber upper for comfort and fit, as well as numerous advanced built-in internal and external protective features, the SMX-S boot features an ergonomic forefoot design, a breathable lining, and Alpinestars' unique rubber compound sole for optimized levels of support and performance. A durable microfiber upper provides the best possible flexibility and comfort. A new ergonomic last provides greater forefoot aerodynamics for significantly greater precision at the levers, providing superior all-around foot profile, fit, and comfort. A new ergonomically optimized TPU shin protector is race-proven for superior impact and abrasion resistance. Lateral TPR-injected ankle support provides optimized levels of protection and stability. TPU dual-density ankle protectors are overlaid with the upper on both the lateral and medial sides for excellent all-around protection. The breathable textile lining features a suede anti-slip reinforcement in the heel area. Built-in, replaceable bi-injected TPU sliders feature a new simple screwless fastening concept for faster and easier replacement. TPU shift pads incorporate a technical texture for protection and grip. The medial-lateral opening/closure system features a zipper on an elastic panel with a wide hook-and-loop closure for flexibility and a secure fit every time. The entry opening is wide for easier on and off. Internal toe cap protection is layered beneath the upper for durability, improved feel, and performance. A new removable anatomical dual-compound footbed integrates EVA and elastane for performance, comfort, and support. The sole is made from Alpinestars' new, unique rubber compound for improved feel and grip, water drainage, and durability.
