A boot for track and road performance riding, the SMX-6 V2 is superbly anatomically cut, packed with groundbreaking features, and incorporates the latest advances in Alpinestars' race boot design and development. Every single part in the CE-certified SMX-6 V2 has been carefully engineered to deliver critically important peak performance to riders: protective innovations, improved ergonomics, and comfort features. A newly developed boot upper integrates groundbreaking forefoot, rear bellow, and rear calf sections for superior levels of flexibility. A microfiber upper provides outstanding durability and abrasion resistance. An ergonomic last provides greater forefoot aerodynamics for significantly greater control at the levers, and a superior all-around foot profile, fit, and comfort. Alpinestars' groundbreaking lateral TPU ankle brace provides biomechanical support between the lateral calf/shin and ankle, offering improved structural integrity, impact protection, abrasion resistance, and flex support. Vented heel counter and shin guards, along with breathable mesh panels (ventilated version only), improve comfort and reduce fatigue on short or long rides. Shin and calf guards, heel counter, shift pad, ankle brace, and toe slider are constructed from injected high-quality modular TPU for enhanced impact protection and durability. A double-density medial ankle protector is layered beneath the upper, providing protection in key areas. Built-in, replaceable sliders constructed from bi-injected TPU feature a simple screw-on design for quick and easy replacement. Groundbreaking accordion flex zones at the instep and Achilles for excellent comfort, expansion, control, and support. The internal footbed features integrated shin reinforcement for arch support and foot protection. The medial lateral opening/closure system features a zippered, elastic-paneled closure with a wide hook-and-loop closure for flexibility and a secure fit every time. The entry opening is wide for easier on and off. Internal toe cap protection is layered beneath the upper for durability, improved feel, and performance. The breathable textile lining features anti-slip suede reinforcement in the heel area to keep the foot in the correct position while riding. A new removable anatomical footbed integrates EVA and elastane for performance, comfort, and support.
