A sporty touring jacket with excellent levels of weather protection and comfort thanks to its waterproof and breathable DRYSTAR® membrane and removable thermal liner, the Hyper DRYSTAR® jacket offers outstanding protection and the option to upgrade with Alpinestars' certified Nucleon chest and back protector. This clean-cut jacket with a sporty touring fit features a multi-layer, multi-fiber textile construction, featuring a 450-denier polyester outer shell and 600-denier cuff reinforcement for optimized durability and abrasion resistance. A rigid DRYSTAR® membrane with sealed seams provides guaranteed waterproof performance while remaining breathable enough to prevent the buildup of internal moisture, ensuring a stable microclimate. The membrane features stretch panels that mirror the same stretch zones of the outerwear for superior freedom of movement. A removable long-sleeved thermal liner (100g body, 80g sleeves) for cold weather features easy-to-identify red zippers and snap closures to secure the liner in place. Excellent fit is achieved through an innovative volume adjustment system on the chest, biceps, and sleeves, providing a secure, improved riding fit with greatly reduced material bunching. This adjustment system ensures a customized fit for the rider and offers increased safety by securing the protectors close to the body in the event of an impact or slide. Pre-curved sleeves and hook-and-loop cuff adjustment ensure comfort and prevent the sleeves from riding up while riding. Newly developed shoulder protection features over-injected shoulder pads made of advanced TPU, which are covered with the outer fabric for optimized levels of protection and comfort. Alpinestars' race-proven internal shoulder and elbow protectors are also included. Chest and back compartments with advanced polyester foam padding (certified Nucleon chest inserts available as an accessory upgrade). Strategically positioned four-way stretch panels on the inner sleeve, side torso, and rear shoulder provide freedom of movement and comfort. A multi-ventilation system features zippered vents and exhaust ports for internal cooling and comfort on short or long rides. Extensive reflective details on the back and sleeves for enhanced rider visibility. A wraparound inner waist connection zipper allows for connection to Alpinestars pants.
