The Big Sur GORE-TEX® trousers incorporate a groundbreaking bonded three-layer construction that offers waterproofness and windproofness, as well as breathability and durability. They feature a full thermal lining and large zippered vents for maximum climate versatility and comfort, whatever the weather. Superior protection and gripper-tape volume adjustment allow these trousers to be used on the toughest routes. A multi-layer shell structure made from different material combinations ensures optimal levels of comfort and performance for adventurous rally riding. The three-layer GORE-TEX® Pro Shell construction, with a special high-performance waterproof GORE-TEX membrane bonded to a solid outer fabric and a durable inner lining, ensures a thinner, reduced fabric insert with no movement between the three layers to promote greater durability. Waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® stretch panels at the waist, crotch, and back of the knees ensure comfort and fit. Strategically positioned reinforcements in the seat area and Armacor® reinforcements on the knees and inner legs provide comfort and durability in critical areas. A medial leather panel on the inner calf promotes grip and additional protection when in contact with the bike. A removable, ultrasonically welded, full-length inner layer (100g) is secured with snap fasteners to keep it in place. The ventilation system incorporates a large zippered vent in the thigh area to increase internal comfort by providing the rider with a continuous flow of cooling air. Accordion-shaped textile panels at the knees provide increased range of motion and comfort. A newly developed cuff closure system features two hook-and-loop fasteners: the first to adjust the leg length to the rider's height, and the second for easy on/off and secure closure. The waist adjustment system features a buckle and stretch textile for a highly customizable fit. A soft inner waist lining with a padded back panel improves comfort. Practical storage options are provided by the two deep zippered front pockets and the cargo pocket on the left thigh. Interior padded compartments in the hip area feature comfortable polyester foam padding (certified Nucleon inserts available as accessories). Impact protection is provided by the removable, certified knee protectors. Adjustable and removable bib straps enhance the comfortable fit. Reflective details for improved rider visibility.
