The Big Sur is a fully featured touring jacket compatible with Alpinestars' industry-leading motorcycle airbag system, Tech-Air™. Featuring an advanced GORE-TEX® Pro Shell membrane for wind and waterproofness as well as high levels of breathability, this jacket offers excellent weather protection as well as comfort and protection when equipped with the Big Sur GORE-TEX® pants or any other Alpinestars textile touring pants. Multi-layer shell structure made from different material combinations for optimal levels of comfort and performance for adventurous rally riding. Compatible with Alpinestars' class-leading Tech-Air™ airbag system, the garment is designed with stretch areas on the back to accommodate the inflated volume of the airbag without compromising seams or materials. The ergonomic design of the garment means it can be worn without the airbag system for a customized fit. For compatibility with the Tech-Air™: LED display on the sleeve shows the operating status of the airbag plus internal wiring for the system's ECU. Internal mounts and cable routing for seamless airbag system management. The three-layer GORE-TEX® Pro Shell construction, with a special high-performance GORE-TEX membrane bonded to a solid outer fabric and a durable inner lining, ensures a thin, reduced fabric insert with no movement between the three layers to promote greater durability. Strategically positioned Armacor® reinforcements on the back and forearms provide durability and comfort. Thanks to the Armacor® textile construction, the jacket is waterproof and windproof and promotes the highest possible moisture management. Superior protection, both internally and externally, includes newly developed shoulder protection featuring over-injected shoulder pads made of advanced TPU, which are overlaid with the outer fabric for optimized levels of protection and comfort. Chest and back compartments with advanced polyester foam padding (CE-certified Nucleon chest inserts available as an accessory upgrade). Removable full-body liner (100-120g body, 70g sleeves).
