Schuberth S2 Sport Helmet Size XXL

Description
Outer shell The outer shell of the Schuberth S2 helmet is available in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with consistent protection. It is manufactured using the SCHUBERTH typical pressing process, enabling high stability while maintaining low weight. Shell material: STRONG-Fibre helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH, enabling low weight. Glass fibre is pressed at high temperatures under high pressure and with the addition of special resin in a vacuum to create a helmet shell with exceptionally high strength. Inner shell The helmet shell is made of special EPS foam and is constructed in several parts to optimize shock absorption. This complex segmentation achieves better force absorption and distribution, offering maximum safety. Made from advanced special EPS foam. Optimized shock absorption through the use of complex multi-zone foaming. Interior The interior of the S2, specially developed according to the innovative Comfort Fit Concept, ensures a comfortable and secure fit of the helmet in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX® and Thermocool® fabrics, as well as the additional use of Interpower® coatings, make the interior a highly effective system for moisture wicking and cooling. COOLMAX® interior, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30°C) Optimized fit Skeletonized for effective ventilation Summer/winter adaptable Allergen-free Antibacterial Replaceable comfort cheek pads and headband padding Closure Precise adjustment of the chin strap length thanks to variability on both sides. The S2 Sport comes with a race-proven double-D fastener. Reflective pads The silver-colored reflective fabric applications found in the neck area of every SCHUBERTH helmet ensure better visibility of the motorcyclist, especially when riding at dusk or at night. Better visibility = greater safety Increased passive safety Early detection by other road users The visor Pinlock® visor Guaranteed fog-free thanks to the double lens principle "City position" for maximum ventilation when driving slowly Visor mechanism EasyChange visor mechanism enables extremely quick and easy visor changing Tool-free visor changing AROS anti-roll-off system The anti-roll-off system (AROS), specially developed by SCHUBERTH and included as a safety feature in every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet, ensures that when the chin strap is closed and correctly adjusted, the helmet cannot rotate off the head from behind. The lower angle of inclination prevents contact between the chin section of the helmet and the rider's chin or neck, thus reducing the accident-related consequences of the helmet coming into contact with the chest. The helmet also has reflective areas that increase visibility in the dark and therefore contribute to your safety. Aerodynamics High-performance aerodynamics The S2 is specially adjusted for the touring and sport touring rider's seating position and sits quietly in the airflow. The special shape of the helmet shell and helmet edge ensure noticeably improved contact pressure. Even at higher speeds, the S2 develops practically no lift. In addition, the S2 features reduced air resistance and optimized directional stability. On uncovered motorcycles, buffeting is also significantly minimized. Perfected aerodynamics Lift = 0! Directionally stable Pendulum-neutral No buffeting Acoustics Aeroacoustics of the S2 A quiet helmet means active safety for the motorcyclist: this enables concentrated riding - especially at higher speeds. Many hours in the Schuberth acoustic wind tunnel have made the S2 quiet. The extensive acoustic package with optimized helmet shell, wind deflector and ergonomically coordinated shape of the neck padding make the S2 one of the quietest helmets available at 85 dBA. Quiet helmet thanks to acoustic package By installing the wind deflector, the aeroacoustics and thus the noise level can be further improved! Only 85dB(A) at 100km/h on an uncovered motorcycle Basics Volume is a logarithmic phenomenon: Human perception perceives a doubling or halving of the volume with a change of 10 dB(A). Physically, a doubling or halving occurs every 6 dB(A). The physical increase or decrease is greater than the perceived one. Optimization Aeroacoustics are influenced by the position of the helmet in the airflow, depending on the rider's size, seating position and motorcycle fairing Helmet fit: differences in the anatomy of the head, neck and shoulder area Tips Altered windshield adjustment Additional sealing, e.g. with a neck scarf Ventilation Innovative ventilation system The S2 is equipped with an innovative ventilation system. The combination of multi-way channels in the EPS foam shell and the head-chin-mouth ventilation ensure effective distribution of fresh air over the entire head area. The fresh air flowing in through the forehead ventilation is guided via the air channels in the inner shell well over the back of the head to the back of the helmet. The negative pressure at the back of the helmet ensures that the interior air is constantly extracted through the air outlets and the special mesh fabric in the neck padding. Head ventilation inlet (multi-stage adjustable) Chin ventilation for targeted distribution of the incoming air inside the helmet Effect The powerful ventilation system of the S2 Chin ventilation Skeletonized interior Visor ventilation Adjustable head ventilation Active ventilation system EPS shell with ventilation segments O2 ventilation In cold weather, the neck area is often sealed off with hoods, scarves and bandanas when the ventilation is closed. The carbon dioxide concentration in the helmet is an important safety criterion to avoid symptoms of fatigue and respiratory depletion. At a CO2 concentration of up to 3.5%, no adverse health effects are to be expected. 0.5% is the maximum workplace concentration for CO2. Even with a hood, scarves, or bandana covering the neck, this helmet ensures that the CO2 concentration remains below the 0.5% CO2 limit at speeds above approximately 30 km/h. When wearing a helmet that is sealed off by a hood, scarves, or bandana, the visor should be opened for safety reasons (city position) when stopping (e.g. at traffic lights) or when riding slowly. SRC System Ready The S2 is prepared as standard for the SCHUBERTH SRC System S2 (available in summer 2012). To ensure optimal radio reception, the S2 is equipped with two integrated antennas for reception amplification and a Bluetooth® connection. Optimum reception quality at all times Bluetooth® antenna for wireless cell phone, navigation, and intercom connections to other SRC System owners.
